As We Look To The Future, We鈥檙e Proud Of Our Past
Mini docuseries highlights energy generation projects
As we plan to meet our customers鈥� energy needs both now and into the future, we鈥檙e making significant changes to our energy generation fleet.
- We鈥檒l retire Hoot Lake Plant in May.
- We added Merricourt Wind Energy Center to replace the energy previously generated by Hoot Lake Plant.
- We built Astoria Station to provide a reliable backstop during periods of high demand or when the wind isn鈥檛 blowing.
- And pending project approvals, we鈥檒l begin construction on Hoot Lake Solar next year.
Each of these helps us power our communities with reliable, affordable electricity. Our customers will continue to pay less for the energy to power their homes and businesses than they would almost anywhere else in the nation, as we create a stronger, smarter energy grid and cleaner energy future.
