Kicking Off Holiday Season By Honoring Veterans
As we close out 2020, let's听all do what we can to听bring light to life.听
Over the next eight weeks we'll help through a series of fun鈥攁nd impactful鈥攚eekly challenges!听
This week we expressed appreciation听for our veterans
We encouraged customers to:
- Write a note of thanks and share it with a veteran (or safely deliver it to a local veterans' organization).
- Observe the Veterans Day Moment of Silence on November 11 at 1:11 p.m.
Our employees also got involved
In Fergus Falls, Minnesota, we hosted a听two-day employee LED holiday lighting event听on听November 9 and 10. Employees dropped off cards of thanks and donations for veterans in exchange for LED holiday lights. We received around听70 cards听and approximately听$1,000 in donations,听which we delivered, along with cupcakes for residents and employees, to the Fergus Falls Veterans Home. 鈥淲e can鈥檛 express how much we appreciated the cupcakes, cards, and generous donation,鈥� said Deanna Mounts, Public Relations, Fergus Falls Veterans Home. 鈥淵our kindness made our veterans smile. Thank you for helping to make them feel honored, special, and valued.鈥�
We also delivered cupcakes to residents and employees at the Veterans Home in Lisbon, North Dakota.
